AUDI – The new Audi A8

Join star presenter Steven Gätjen as he embarks on a captivating journey through a city in the luxurious Audi A8. Along the way, he delves into engaging interviews with the brilliant minds responsible for crafting this cutting-edge automobile, providing a unique glimpse into the innovation and craftsmanship behind the scenes. 

Besides a live action shoot with a driving car, all close-ups, interior shots, and people shots were skillfully captured in a virtual production studio, seamlessly blending the real and virtual worlds to create an immersive and visually stunning experience for the audience.

This project is the perfect example where a CG car can tremendously help on a production. The new AUDI A8 was still under full secrecy so, we shot all driving footage out in the city streets with a stand-in car. In postproduction we then replaced the stand-in car with the new model, making sure, the CG vehicle matched the real A8, visible in all non-driving shots, at 100%.
