THE IDEA

"Umleitung" isn’t a place? In a humorous short film, soccer stars Mathys Tel, Harry Kane, and Thomas Müller enjoy a ride in the new Audi Q6 e-tron. They encounter "Umleitung" (detour) again and again. The confusion sparks playful banter, ending with a showcase of the fully electric Audi Q6 e-tron impressive range as they continue exploring new roads. We produced this humorous spot holistically, from the shoot to the final delivery.

THE SOLUTION

This project is the perfect example where a CG car can tremendously help on a production. The new Audi Q6 e-tron was still under full secrecy so we shot all driving footage out in the city streets with a stand-in car. In postproduction we then replaced the stand-in car with the new model, making sure, the CG vehicle matched the real Q6, visible in all non-driving shots, at 100%.
